1st Message and some suggestions

by Meera Patel

Hi!! I am so excited you guys have signed up to the Romance Readers group. I just wanted to let you guys know that this club is all about you, we can make it into a group thing, like when we all read the same book and then have like a question/ answer session, where I can make question sheets. Or, we can do list exchanges, so that when we find new books, that we think others will like we share. You guys will be in contact with me, and then I will send out e-mails to other members of the group. If you guys have ideas for what you want to do, don't be shy! Just e-mail me and we will see what we can do! I don't want the first e-mail to be just informative, so here are some great books, some which are not out yet, and I hope you enjoy them!! Don't forget to e-mail me and let me know what you want this club to do.
Nightshade - by Andrea Cremer
Book Description:
Calla Tor has always known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she'll be the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers.

But when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything- including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?

Anna and the French Kiss
Book Description:
Who wouldn't jump at the chance to spend her senior year at a boarding school in Paris? Anna Oliphant, that's who. Besides being the exact opposite of fluent in French, Anna is perfectly happy at home in Atlanta, Georgia--and she has a potential boyfriend there. But Anna's dad thinks the experience will be good for her, so Paris it is. And Anna does warm up to the city...especially after she meets gorgeous Étienne St. Clair, who seems to return her interest but already has a girlfriend. With vivid descriptions of Paris throughout, this witty, romantic read is filled with great characters and winning dialogue that will make Sarah Dessen fans swoon.

Across the Universe - by Beth Revis
Book Description:
When 17-year-old Amy submits to being cryogenically frozen, she expects to be awakened 300 years in the future, along with her parents, on the planet that will be their new home. But someone on the spaceship Godspeed nearly kills her by unplugging her cryo chamber 50 years early...and, as Amy and 16-year-old Elder, the ship's second-in-command, soon discover, it wasn't an accident. Narrated alternately by both Elder and Amy, this highly suspenseful read explores the rigid shipboard society of the Godspeed and, with its thrilling combination of mystery and romance, should please fans of Dom Testa's Galahad series.

Matched - by Ally Condie
Book Description:
For Cassia, nothing is left to chance--not what she will eat, the job she will have, or the man she will marry. In Matched, the Society Officials have determined optimal outcomes for all aspects of daily life, thereby removing the "burden" of choice. When Cassia's best friend is identified as her ideal marriage Match it confirms her belief that Society knows best, until she plugs in her Match microchip and a different boy's face flashes on the screen. This improbable mistake sets Cassia on a dangerous path to the unthinkable--rebelling against the predetermined life Society has in store for her. As author Ally Condie's unique dystopian Society takes chilling measures to maintain the status quo, Matched reminds readers that freedom of choice is precious, and not without sacrifice. --Seira Wilson

Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance by Emily Franklin
Book Description:
Ever wanted to be a celebrity? Get free clothes for just being you? Well, in this book you will find out what it is like, though maybe it isn't as fabulous as it seems. This is a journey of a lifetime, as Charlie and Fielding figure out who they are, why they became actors and what they really mean to each other.

Review by Meera appearing in Romance Times February 2011...Starring in the No. 1-rated show in Japan, Jenna and Jonah's How to Be a Rock Star, may have its perks, but it's not all fun and games. For one thing, co-stars Charlie and Fielding can't stand each other, but that doesn't stop their publicists from forcing them to date. But when news gets out that Fielding is gay (which he is not) the ex-it couple must go undercover for a while. During their time living life "simply," they discover all they've sacrificed to be famous.
